Estes Farms Vegas

Technically, Estes Farms Vegas is not a community garden, as participants are not renting plots to govern from start to finish. It is a family owned and operated urban homestead, and we invite the community to share in the efforts of production and harvest similar to a community garden. Though all garden decisions at Estes Farms Vegas are ultimately approved through the Farm Director, Erin Marie. 

It's totally free to come get your hands dirty! Estes Farms Vegas accepts tokens of gratitude in the form of non tax deductible donations from patrons in order to maintain the farm as a community gathering place. Time volunteering in the garden is also appreciated as fair trade for tours and occasional visitors.   

Our Weekly Summer Camps are offered on a sliding scale, pay what you can. Suggested donation per week is $160, and per single day is $40. 

Estes Farms Vegas is open for tours via reservation, depending upon availability. Program and Event hours are listed on various pages on the website, and our google calendar. Estes Farms is open weather permitting, and may cancel due to inclement weather or illness. Closures, holidays, and special events will be listed on the calendar, the Events page, and social media, and is otherwise open during listed hours. 

Summer Camps are as follows, Monday through Friday 10am-2pm:

Week 1: May 27-31

Week 2: June 3-7

Week 3: June 17-21

Week 4: June 24-28

Week 5: July 8-12

Week 6: July 15-19

Week 7: July 22-26

Week 8: July 29- August 2

Normal Programs will run only during NON Summer Camp weeks May through August.

~Matrescence Support Group is Mondays 10:30am-12noon.

~Early Childhood Group Meetup is Thursdays 10:30am-12noon.

~Create~Make~Build is Fridays from 10:30am-12noon.

~Movie Nights are 2nd and 4th Fridays, from 7-10 pm.

As Estes Farms Vegas is an urban homestead in a residential neighborhood, the street on which Estes Farms Vegas operates can accommodate parallel parking for approximately 15 vehicles, with nearby neighborhood streets for overflow. The modest house has 2 living rooms, 2 restrooms, and a kitchen available for use during Estes Farms Vegas hours (indoor occupancy 30). The lawn where we hold movie night is about 2,000 square feet, with the edible garden extending out from that (outdoor occupancy 135), and the maximum number of daily participants at summer camp is 28.   Estes Farms Vegas has a drought tolerant edible garden, a native wildflower garden, a landscape garden, an indoor potted plant garden, a large grass lawn, a compost pile, a gentle mix breed large dog, 4 quail birds, and 3 chickens.  Farm adventures for all!
